MANILA - Global delivery service UPS said Wednesday it expected a surge in demand in the fourth quarter due to the holiday rush.

The Philippine business of UPS is "growing" with concentration in Metro Manila, Clark and Cebu, said UPS Philippines managing director Christopher Buono.

"Typically, we see end quarter and month-long surges from manufacturers here, from the export perspective, we also see that from an import perspective," Buono told ANC's Early Edition.

Buono said UPS analyzes traffic patterns and relies on its drivers' experience to navigate through traffic jams in urban centers.
