MANILA - Micro, small and medium enterprises or MSMEs stand to benefit the most from the recently-concluded ASEAN Summit, where a mentorship program for the sector was launched, organizers said.
The ASEAN's Business Advisory Council organized the mentors network called AMEN to help small businessmen gain access to capital and markets to sell their goods.
"When we talk about prosperity for all, it cannot be the rich boy club, we are changing that landscape now," ABAC Chairman Joey Concepcion told ABS CBN News.
“Each country has a different specialization. We are using the strength of each one to share to those who are in need of expertise. There is now a platform that will facilitate the exchange,” said ABAC Executive Director Gil Gonzales.
President Rodrigo Duterte, the chairman of this year's ASEAN meetings, assumed office last year promising, among others, to uplift the plight of small businessmen.
