Aboitiz sets up command center for 'Yolanda' victims

MANILA -- Aboitiz Foundation, the social development arm of the Aboitiz Group, has set up a command center in Cebu to help assess the damage in the region, as well as to extend assistance to victims of super typhoon "Yolanda."

The foundation will extend assistance to around 6,500 families in the hardest hit areas in Northern Cebu. It will also give out basic needs such as water, rice, canned goods, noodles, biscuits, and hygiene kits.

A separate team is going to Leyte to conduct an assessment of the most urgent needs in that area.
