MANILA - Have you ever wanted to take back a message you already sent?
You may soon do that as Facebook is set to introduce a feature that would allow users to delete messages that have already been sent in its Messenger app.
In the latest Messenger app update, Facebook revealed plans for the "unsend" feature.
According to the tech giant, users can soon remove a message within 10 minutes of sending it.
"If you accidentally sent the wrong photo, incorrect information or message the wrong thread, you can easily correct it by removing the message within 10 minutes of sending it," Facebook said.
Users may currently delete messages on the Messenger app but it only reflects on the sender's end and remains on the recipient's thread.
So far, Facebook has not mentioned when the new "unsend" feature would be available.
Last month, Facebook redesigned the Messenger app in a bid to simplify the service for its 1.3 billion monthly global users.
