MANILA - The country's flag carrier Philippines Airlines (PAL) opened three new routes from Davao City as part of its domestic route expansion program.
In a statement, PAL said these mark the "redevelopment of Davao as another hub of PAL operations."
The Davao-Tagbilaran and Davao-Cagayan de Oro routes were launched Nov. 1.
This means PAL now flies to Tagbilaran from Davao four times a week--every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
The new Davao-Cagayan de Oro flight departs daily at 10:40 a.m.
Meantime, PAL opened a new route from Davao City to Zamboanga City starting Nov. 2.
The new flight departs Davao 12:05 p.m. three times a week--every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
An 86-seater Bombardier Q400 services the newly opened routes, PAL said.
PAL said it will introduce more inter-island routes this December to help travelers fly directly to their destinations without passing through Manila.
