Apple unveiled Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) its revamped iPad Pro and MacBook Air lines, focusing on productivity as much as aesthetics, after it unleashed its most expensive iPhones yet last month.

Apple shaved the top and side bezels and removed the home button on the iPad Pro, which is equipped with a USB-C port instead of Lightning, making it compatible with more accessories. All other iPads before it had Apple's own Lightning port.

The thinner iPad Pro, available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch variants, are equipped with face unlock and swipe gestures. The stylus or Apple Pencil docks magnetically on to the tablet's steel frame and charges wirelessly.

Apple claims up to 10 hours of battery life on the iPad Pro. The 12-megapixel rear camera shoots in "smart HDR" while the front lens has 3D sensors to simulate stage lighting for selfies and create animated selfies or animojis as in the iPhone X and XS lines.

The MacBook Air now has a sharper 13-inch display in HD and fingerprint unlock on its keyboard. The track pad is 20 percent larger.

The new MacBook Air comes with up to 16 GB of memory, 1.5 TB of SSD storage, and an Intel Core i5 processor. It weighs 2.75 pounds and is 15.6 millimeters thin. It has two USB-C ports on its side for charging and connecting devices.

The MacBook Air comes in gold, silver and space grey, made out of recycled aluminum.
