Former Manila Vice Mayor Francisco Domagoso, more popularly known as Isko Moreno, announced on Friday his resignation from the North Luzon Railways Corp. (Northrail).

In a letter to President Duterte dated Oct. 27, Domagoso said he is tendering his irrevocable resignation as CEO and member of the Northrail Board of Directors effective immediately. He cited personal reasons for his resignation.

The former actor confirmed his resignation in a text message to ABS-CBN News. "Yes, effective today," he said.

In July, Duterte appointed Domagoso as chairman of the state-run firm tasked to oversee the development of a railway system that links the Manila to the north.
