MANILA - Cebu Pacific on Wednesday asked the public to take "extra precaution" when booking flights through online agents such as Skiddoo and Traveloka.
Online travel agents "have neither authority from, nor permission to transact in behalf of Cebu Pacific" and bookings and reservations may not be reflected in the airline's system, the carrier said in a statement.
Cebu Pacific said requests for in-flight meals, extra baggage and seat selection might not come through if made through online agents.
"Cebu Pacific Air warns the public to take extra precautions and verify flight details and other ancillary services directly with the airline if bookings were made through Online Travel Agents (OTAs) such as Skiddoo and Traveloka," the airline said.
"We urge the travelling public to double-check bookings made with OTAs to avoid any inconvenience," it said.
Cebu Pacific advised customers to book only through its website or mobile app.
