MANILA, Philippines - Clark International Airport Corp. has lowered the terminal fee for international passengers to P450 from P600 starting today.
AirAsia Inc., which flies out of Clark, hailed the CIAC's move, saying this will boost air passenger traffic at the airport.
“Aside from our low fares, passengers flying out of Clark airport now enjoy the benefit of lower international passenger terminal fees than those traveling from NAIA, Cebu, Davao and other airports in the country. We have to commend CIAC for its effort in keeping our passengers happy by paying less airport fees.P150 pesos is a huge savings especially for budget travellers,” AirAsia Inc. CEO Maan Hontiveros said, in a statement.
AirAsia flies daily to Hong Kong, Macau and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. It will start flying to Singapore in December.
AirAsia is currently holding an all-in, one way promo fare from only P999 from Clark International Airport to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 until October 7. Travel period is from December 15, 2012 to September 30, 2013.
