MANILA - A unit of Century Properties is willing to work with the environment department in ensuring its housing development along La Mesa dam abides by environmental regulations, Century Properties founder and chairman Joey Antonio said.
Century Communities Corp., which is focused on horizontal house and lot developments, is working with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to come up with a "mutually acceptable brand" for the company's project in Novaliches.
"We have not really started development in the area and we believe we have all the legal basis to pursue it, but we will always work with the government to build a sustainable and environmentally-friendly development," Antonio told ANC.
Environment Secretary Gina Lopez earlier said she is raising the standards for environmental compliance.
