AirAsia brings back 'free seats' promo

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) - AirAsia Inc. is bringing back the "free seats" promo for its flights from Clark International Airport to Davao and Kalibo.

Passengers only have to pay P275 to cover fuel surcharge, processing fee and other government fees for a one-way ticket to Davao and Kalibo. The promo starts from September 18 to 23, 2012 and for travel from April 1 to September 30, 2013. AirAsia has daily flights to Davao and Kalibo.
"The P275 seat sale is actually a zero-fare promo where the seat is totally free and the guest is actually paying only P275 to cover the fuel surcharge, processing fee and government-mandated fees such as aviation security fee and VAT," AirAsia CEO Maan Hontiveros said.

Free seats for international destinations

Hontiveros said AirAsia will also announce details of the zero base fare promo for its international destinations on Thursday (September 20). This will cover its international flights to Hong Kong, Macau and Kuala Lumpur, as well as its fly-through service to Osaka, Japan and Australia. 

Other AirAsia companies are also participating in the promo, including AirAsia X.

"On September 20, we will announce free seat offers to international destinations in Asia and Australia... This includes the fly through service from Clark to Kuala Lumpur to Osaka and Australia... All other AirAsia companies are participating in this very big sale," she said.

AirAsia Inc. is a 60-40 joint venture between Filipino investors Antonio Cojuangco, Michael Romero and Hontiveros and Malaysia's AirAsia International Ltd.
