MANILA, Philippines - Philippine factory output slowed in July, reflecting a drop in electronics exports that month, amid continued weak demand from the US, China, Japan and Europe.

Manufacturing grew at an annual 4.7% in July, slower than June's 11.2%.

The National Statistics Office says manufacturers further slashed production of metals, tobacco, oil, while food and car parts production slowed. - ANC
