MANILA - The Philippine Ports Authority said Thursday a female employee who was caught on video receiving money through her office window was relieved from her post while undergoing investigation for alleged corruption.

The Bureau of Customs had said the employee was not authorized to receive money and appeared to be hiding the transaction from the view of surveillance cameras.

The employee denied wrongdoing, said Philippine Ports Authority general manager Jay Santiago.

He said the employee hed been with the PPA for 40 years and earns P17,000 monthly. He said she should not be judged solely on the video. - Report from Niko Baua, ABS-CBN News
