MANILA -- Coca-Cola is looking to divest its bottling operations in the Philippines as part of its long-term push worldwide to focus on its core marketing business, its country manager said Wednesday.

While there are no immediate plans to sell the 51-percent stake previously held by Meixco's FEMSA, focusing on it its core business aligns with the rest of the world, Coca-Cola Philippines President and General Manager Winn Everhart said.

Coca-Cola Philippines has been handling both bottling and marketing of Coke products since FEMSA sold back its 51-percent stake last year.
