MANILA, Philippines - Which Makati restaurant paid P17 million in taxes in 2011?

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on Wednesday published a newspaper ad, which revealed the list of the top 50 restaurant taxpayers in Makati for 2011.

Topping the list is popular pizza chain Yellow Cab Pizza, which paid P17.57 million in taxes in 2011.

The list is based on the 2011 income tax dues of taxpayers registered in the BIR Revenue District Offices 47 to 50 and excludes taxpayers under the BIR Large Taxpayer Service.

In the ad, the BIR asked: "Is your favorite Makati restaurant a top taxpayer?"

The BIR noted that only nine of the top 50 highest-rated restaurants in Makati (according to TripAdvisor.com) are top taxpayers in the city.
