MANILA – Young women can easily be mentored to excel in the workplace, a women empowerment advocate said on Wednesday.
Millennials, in general, when inspired are “easy to deal with,” said Sheila Lobien, the Women and Business Committee chair of the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
“I always felt that being a woman is not a disadvantage. If you give them a very good career path and you inspire them, they’re very easy to deal with and they’re very easy to mentor as well,” Lobien told ANC's Market Edge.
Lobien said the committee also pushes for diversity in the workplace by encouraging persons with disability and providing equal opportunities for male and female workers not just in Metro Manila but those in provinces as well.
