MANILA -- Cebu Pacific said Tuesday it received delivery of the first of 2 aircraft that it will devote to full cargo use.
The turboprop ATR 72-500, which can carry up to 8 tons of cargo, can serve even airports with short runways, the Philippines' largest carrier said.
The conversion was done in Dinard, France by Sabena Technics, Cebu Pacific said in a statement. The second ATR 72-500 will be delivered later this year.
Cebu Pacific said its unit Cebgo will handle the cargo operations.
