MANILA -- Retailers are revisiting their strategies as consumers shift to digital services and electronic payments, businessmen said Monday.
Picture City focused on its photo printing services when smartphones eclisped its digital camera business, its president, Paul Santos, told ANC.
"We had a number of years difficulty, we had to downsize and rethink our strategy. In this case we focused on our services and we offered more value added printing services for customers," Santos said.
Construction supplies retailer Wilcon Depot is tapping technology to identify customer preferences, said its senior vice president Rosemarie Ong.
"These are the new trends now, the Philippines is quite ready for it. In Wilcon, we’re in the crossroad between digital and physical," she said.
