MANILA - Metro Pacific Investment Corp said Wednesday its chairman, Manuel Pangilinan, is ready to submit a proposal to develop a liquefied natural gas integrated terminal.

Pangilinan was quoted as saying in a newspaper report that a joint venture between the MPIC and Meralco would submit a proposal to the Department of Energy.

A facility for imported liquefied natural gas could cushion the depleting Malampaya gas reserves, the Department of Energy earlier said.
