MANILA -- Artificial intelligence should work for humans, instead of competing with them, an analyst said Friday.

Companies should change how they look at AI, which "would not survive without human dimension to it," Jubert Alberto, country head of operations of IDC Philippines told ANC.

"It's not really competing with the machines but rather having the knowledge and skill sets to make these things actually work for us because at the end of the day AI is still all about augmenting, enabling the organization to look at technology to their advantage," Alberto said.

Majority of AI adaption in the Philippines has been in business process outsourcing, Alberto said.
