MANILA—Cebu Pacific said passengers could experience further flight delays at Clark International Airport after ground operations were suspended due to a lightning alert issued Wednesday afternoon.
Aviation authorities had raised a lightning and thunderstorm alert for the area covering Clark International Airport at 3:34 p.m., the airline said in an advisory.
The alert lasted for one hour and 6 minutes, Cebu Pacific said in another advisory released 4:50 p.m.
"As an effect of the 1-hour, 6-minute closure of the CRK airport due to thunderstorm and lightning, we regret that there will be delayed flights. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused," the airline said.
