MANILA - Cebu Pacific said Friday it would resume flights to and from Dubai starting Sunday, July 12.

The following flights are:

  • 5J 18, Manila to Dubai, Sundays, 6:55 p.m. (Manila time)
  • 5J 19, Dubai to Manila, Mondays, 3:30 a.m. (Dubai time starting Monday, July 13)

"All other Cebu Pacific international flights remain canceled from July 11 to 31, 2020," the budget carrier said.

Those traveling to Dubai are required to obtain travel and health insurance coverage before arrival, as required by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. Guests without valid health insurance may be denied check-in or boarding.

Cebu Pacific said passengers on canceled Manila-Dubai-Manila flights could rebook online through the “manage booking” portal in its website.

The airline also stressed that government quarantine and travel regulations would apply for all passengers flying between Manila and Dubai.

Passengers confirmed on these flights are urged to follow health guidelines, including wearing masks, online check-in, being at the airport 3 hours before the flight, counter closure of 1 hour before flight, maximum 1 hand-carry per person, contactless boarding procedures and physical distancing.

After months being in coronavirus-induced lockdown, the Philippine government recently allowed non-essential travel, including tourism-related ones, provided that travelers adhere to certain conditions.

Travelers must have adequate travel health insurance to cover rebooking and accommodation expenses, must submit confirmed roundtrip tickets for those traveling on tourist visas, and execute a declaration acknowledging the risks involved in traveling, the Palace had said.
