MANILA, Philippines - The government has begun a series of dialogues on the Philippine Development Plan, which maps out the Aquino government's goals.

Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio 'Sonny' Coloma opened the dialogue on Wednesday, which was broadcast live on state television channel, NBN.

Coloma identified the administration's 5 key result areas as good governance, poverty reduction, economic growth, peace and rule of law, as well as integrity of the environment.

Coloma added, the Philippine Development Plan will serve as the basis for the annual national budget.

Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima also outlined the goals and accomplishments of the economic development cluster.

Alam nyo po pag walang buwis, eh walang itutustos ang gobyerno," he said.

Purisima added the economic development cluster is also focusing on infrastructure, cutting red tape, and investing in skills training.

Cabinet members also took questions from various sectors from Baguio, Cebu and Davao.

Ipapasok yung sariling priorities at susuportahan natin," said National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) chief Sec. Cayetano Paderanga. -- ANC
