MANILA - National Power Corp, the Philippines' largest power producer, has sought offers from 10 Indonesian producers to supply 65,000 tons of blending coal for its Sual plant for delivery next month.

In letters of invitation to the suppliers dated June 4, Napocor said the budget would be based on the latest published market reference rates like Platts or Barlow Jonker and will be announced two days before the submission and opening of bids on June 12.

The 1,294-megawatt Sual plant is located in Pangasinan province, north of Manila. The coal being sought should be delivered between July 15-24, Napocor said.
