MANILA - SteelAsia has signed two agreements with two Russian companies, chairman and president Ben Yao said.
The steelmaker signed a $250-million supply allocation deal with Evraz, Yao said.
A separate training agreement was signed Kurganstalmost, which specializes in building bridges, Yao said.
SteelAsia is part of the business delegation of President Rodrigo Duterte to Russia. The President cut short his visit on Tuesday to attend to security problems in Mindanao, where he had declared martial law.
Yao said it was "business as usual" in its facilities despite the martial law proclamation.
"There's no impact on us. We continue our deliveries. No change at all," he said.
