MANILA - BDO Unibank said Friday it was working hard to avoid further inconvenience because of a surge in online and mobile transactions.
"An increase in users and transactions has made it difficult for some to access BDO Online and Mobile Banking today. We are working hard to avoid further inconvenience," BDO said in an advisory.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas earlier urged Filipinos to use digital platforms to transact while on COVID-19 lockdown. The BSP's PesoNet and InstaPay platforms allow bank to bank "cashless" transfers.
Using digital payments instead of cash can also help prevent the spread of COVID-19, experts have said.
