MANILA, Philippines -Flag carrier Philippine Airlines will stop flying to India starting next month.

PAL will operate its Manila-Delhi flights only until June 14, 2013, and its Delhi-Manila flights until June 15, 2013. The flights to New Delhi are via Bangkok.

PAL started direct flights to India in March 2011, but the flights were halted in November of the same year due to low demand from local travelers.

This comes as PAL announced it will fly to 11 new international destinations this year.

PAL already started flying to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 2. It is scheduled to begin flights to Darwin, Brisbane, and Perth (Australia) on June 1; Guangzhou (China) on June 2; Abu Dhabi (UAE) on Oct. 1; Dubai (UAE) on Nov. 1; Doha (Qatar) on Nov. 1; and Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam (Saudi Arabia) on Dec. 1.
