MANILA - Repairs on the Pagbilao power plant in Quezon may take two to three days, according to the Department of Energy (DOE).
Mylene Capongcol, director of the DOE's Electric Power Industry Management Bureau, said problems with the governor valve caused the breakdown of the plant.
The breakdown led to the power interruption on Friday.
But Capongcol said they do not expect to experience rotating brownouts this weekend given the smaller power demand.
She added that the Sual power plant, which experienced an emergency shutdown due to a submerged scraper conveyor, has resumed operations Saturday morning. -- Report from ANC
