MANILA - Sen. Manny Pacquiao on Thursday thanked Chinese billionaire Jack Ma after the Alibaba founder donated another 50,000 coronavirus test kits to the Philippines.
This is the second time the Chinese billionaire partnered with the Manny Pacquiao foundation to source test kits. The Philippines will on Saturday start the slow easing of a 2-month-old lockdown in the capital.
"Thank you Jack Ma and the Jack Ma Foundation for partnering with Manny Pacquiao Foundation to provide more testing kits and extraction kits for people all over the Philippines!" the senator said in a tweet.
"You are an inspiration to us all during this pandemic," he said.
Pacquiao and Ma went viral last year after the billionaires posted a boxing training video where they challenged the Filipino fighter's nemesis, Floyd Mayweather, to a match in jest.
