MANILA - There should be no interruption in telecommunications services on election day, the agency overseeing the country's telcos said Sunday.

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) said all public telecommunications entities must deliver uninterrupted services during the May 13 polls, with priority given to the Commission on Elections.
The NTC ordered telcos to deploy sufficient operations and maintenance personnel to ensure 99.99 percent network availability and reliability.
All necessary adjustments and maintenance shall be undertaken to ensure that the networks can handle the expected increase in traffic on May 13, the NTC said.
