MANILA – The Wawa Water Supply Project of Enrique Razon’s Prime Infra will deliver 518 million liters per day to Manila Water by 2025, its president said Friday.
The first phase, composed of a multi-basin series of weirs or dams will deliver an initial 80 mld by 2021, Prime Infra president and COO Guillaume Lucci told ANC.
A "fairly large" second phase facility will deliver 438 mld by 2025, he said.
"Obviously, we’re going as fast as we possibly can given the urgency. The water crisis that we’ve faced obviously stepped up the urgency," Lucci said.
The Wawa Water Supply Project will collect rainwater through the Rizal watershed, which is part of the Upper Marikina basin system, to supply water to East Zone consumers of the Ayala-led utility during the dry season, he said.
