MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN and BusinessMirror have signed an expanded partnership deal.

The new agreement will allow content sharing between BusinessMirror and ANC, as well as ABS-CBNnews.com.

"ABS-CBN, the number one network in the country, to tie up with us, the number one business newspaper. For us, it's a good development not just on print, online but also TV," Anthony C. Cabangon, publisher of BusinessMirror, said.

"This is in line with our shared mission to inform and enlighten viewers and readers. We're very glad we're strengthening our partnership with BusinessMirror," Ging Reyes, head of ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs, said.

The partnership comes as the country's business climate improves. With a stronger economy, comes a need to help educate the Filipino public about relevant business reports.

"We want to provide our news consumers with a lot more content that seek to explain and enlighten them about the economic developments that our country is experiencing. We want to make sense of these economic developments for layman. We want access to more information about business and the economy," Reyes said.

Cabangon emphasized the importance of business news.

"Businessmen would like to know what's happening around the world, local economy... Once they see it on World Tonight and if they want a detailed story, they can refer to our online or print version," he said.

The partnership hopes more Filipinos will clearly understand business news, so they can make decisions that will affect the country for the better.
