MANILA -- Cebu Pacific said Wednesday it was offering guests the option to rent portable data hotpots to help cut roaming costs.
In partnership with Big Sky Nation, the CEB WiFi Kit will provide travelers with up to 4G/LTE speeds in over 100 countries, the country's largest airline said in a statement.
Passengers can rent the device from CEB WiFi Kit booths at the boarding gates of Ninoy Aquino International Airport's (NAIA) Terminal 3, the airline said.
Daily rental costs P450 for destinations in Asia, except Brunei and the United Arab Emirates, and P550 a day for Australia and Guam on top of the security deposit of P4,000, Cebu Pacific said.
The device, which doubles as a portable power bank, is an alternative to temporary SIM cards or renting WiFi kits in foreign countries, said Cebu Pacific vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog.
Rented devices can be returned at the arrival hall of NAIA terminal 3.
