AirAsia cancels Clark flights after Luzon quake

MANILA - AirAsia said it has canceled flights to and from the Clark International Airport in the wake of a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Luzon Monday afternoon.

The following flights on Monday, April 22, were canceled:

  • Z2 5126 - Clark to Taipei
  • Z2 5127 - Taipei to Clark
  • Z2 902 - Clark to Cebu

Several flights scheduled on Tuesday, April 23, were also canceled due to damage sustained by the Clark airport.

  • Z2 0975 - Clark to Tacloban City
  • Z2 0976 - Tacloban City to Clark
  • Z2 0921 - Clark to Caticlan
  • Z2 0922 - Caticlan to Clark
  • Z2 0951 - Clark to Puerto Princesa
  • Z2 0952 - Puerto Princesa to Clark
  • Z2 5038 - Clark to Seoul
  • Z2 5039 - Seoul to Clark
  • Z2 901 - Cebu to Clark
  • Z2 902 - Clark to Cebu

The airline said affected passengers could rebook or reroute their flights within 30 days from original flight, receive credit in AirAsia BIG Loyalty, or obtain full refund.

"AirAsia is monitoring the situation in Clark and will continue to provide information on the latest developments," it said in a statement released Monday night. "AirAsia flights to and from Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila continue to operate as normal."
