MANILA - Samsung launched in the Philippines, a 55-inch touchscreen panel, whose portability and ease of use, the company said, would make conducting meetings easier, especially in co-working spaces.
Up to 4 people can write simultaneously on the 4K UHD display of the Samsung Flip, which can connect to various devices. It can be mounted on a wall or moved around using a wheel-based stand, Samsung said.
With 8 gigabytes of internal storage, users can save data and protect them with passwords. The operating system is built on Tizen, the same platform used in non-Android Samsung devices.
"We tried to explore to continue to improve the collaboration inside the meeting room," Erik Tanuwidjaja Samsung Flip product specialist told ABS CBN News during the product launch on Thursday.
The Flip retails for P139,999.
Meeting outputs scribbled on Flip can be sent via email straight from the device, Samsung said.
"The Samsung Flip allows teams to organize, facilitate and recap meetings with ease. It offers endless possibilities for driving impactful collaboration and creating content," said Bella Concepcion, Samsung's marketing manager for TV/AV.
The screen can "mirror" the output from connected mobile devices. Removing the supplied wooden pen from its slot turns the device on, while sensors will detect inactivity and shut the device automatically.
