MANILA - Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp on Friday said its convenience store unit Shell Select started offering deliveries to encourage more people to stay at home during the coronavirus lockdown.
Select branches in Metro Manila offer delivery service in partnership with Angkas and Grab, Pilipinas Shell vice president for Retail Randy Del Valle told DZMM.
Consumers need to call the nearest Shell Select branches to order, Del Valle said. Shell launched the service in Cebu and is eyeing more locations nationwide, he said.
"Since ito ang kailangan ng mga tao. (Since this is what the people need) We have to stay in our house and we really support that so we implemented it. We just adjusted kasi we need to help the community," he said.
Millions in Luzon stuck in their homes during the enhanced community quarantine have relied on deliveries of essential goods. Motorcycle logistics firms are allowed to operate to facilitate flow of goods.
