MANILA - The Aboitiz Group is inviting all qualified students at the tertiary level to apply for a scholarship or cadetship in its curriculum-based on-the-job training program, Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit (AFLBS).
The program seeks to help scholars prepare for life after college by honing their leadership skills. It aims to equip students with the necessary skills and right work attitude through a curriculum-based training experience in preparation for their journey to the actual work environment.
“It’s not only about preparing them for the corporate world. By forging the leaders of today, we are guaranteed with a better tomorrow,” Aboitiz Group senior vice president and chief human resource officer Txabi Aboitiz said.
The AFLBS will be held in Cebu City in November.
Since its launch, the total of number of AFLBS alumni has already reached 810 participants.
The Aboitiz Group also said the Aboitiz College Scholarship Program (ACSP) is still open for applications. The scholarship provides financial assistance for qualified students, which is renewable every semester provided that the scholar maintains the 85% general point average or its equivalent.
The scholarship is open to full-time incoming first to fourth year college students pursuing a degree in Accountancy, Business/Management, IT, Psychology, Engineering or Pre-Law. Deadline of application is on April 6.
Aboitiz food subsidiary, Pilmico, will also organize its first-ever Junior Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science Congress in August. This event aims to equip the delegates with practical and applied knowledge on animal production, management and nutrition in the pillars of swine, poultry, and gamefowl.
