MANILA, Philippines - SM Development Corporation (SMDC) is opening its latest residential mall, which includes a cinema, in Mandaluyong.

SMDC opened Light Mall at Light Residences in Mandaluyong, the company's first residential mall to offer three digital cinemas.

The three state-of-the-art cinemas will have 100 seats each.

Light Mall, designed by award-winning international architectural design firm SPARK, spans a total leasable area of 12,672 square meters.

The mall has various restaurants including Chef Lau’s Pugon Roasters, Taisho Ramen, Eduardo’s Peri-Peri and US diner themed restaurant, American Eggheads. Branches of Classic Savory, Formosa Bakery, Sbarro, Shakey’s and Wendy’s can also be found there.

It also has Savemore, Watsons, Automatic Centre, Ace Hardware, BDO and National Bookstore.

"With Light Mall, we wanted to offer our residents the utmost convenience, a home where they can entertain family and friends at the cinema and dine at a number of restaurants just a few floors down," SMDC Executive Vice President Jose Mari Banzon said.

Light Mall is the fourth SMDC mall after Jazz Mall in Makati, Sun Mall and MPlace Mall in Quezon City.

Light Residences is a three-tower residential condominium development located at Madison St. corner EDSA. It links to the Boni-EDSA MRT station.
