MANILA -- Water concessionaire Manila Water on Saturday said it has suspended meter reading and billing activities from March 17 "until further notice."
Billing will be estimated based on average consumption in the past 3 months in accordance with policies imposed by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage Systems, the concessionaire said in a statement.
"Any difference versus actual consumption will be reflected and charges will be adjusted on your next bill when we resume read-and-bill operations," Manila Water said.
Normal billing will be implemented once the government finally lifts the Luzon-wide community quarantine, according to Manila Water.
Consumers may send a message to the concessionaire's Facebook or Twitter accounts for concerns.
