MANILA, Philippines - Several government agencies have opened satellite offices at SM Aura in Taguig City.
PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, PHLPost, and Social Security System offices are located on the mall's seventh floor, serving an estimated number of 2,900 visitors daily.
Taguig City has placed its extension offices on the ninth and tenth levels. These officers offer similar business and property services at City Hall, including tax payments, insurance and notarial services.
SM Aura's Carlo Vilchez said mall-based government services help those who live and work in the community with their government-related transactions.
"Most of our customers want to finish these dealings in one go. By putting these government offices in a convenient, central location like SM Aura, not only can they accomplish their government transactions but shop and dine before or after as well," Vilchez said.
Visitors can go through SM Aura Tower lobby where they can register and find assistance from mall staff or through the mall itself.
Coming from the company's public-private partnership (PPP) with the city of Taguig, SM, sought to create a civic center experience in SM Aura that marries commercial establishments with business, government, and utilities service offices.
