MANILA - Cargo movers should prepare an inventory of items they carry to facilitate the "unimpeded" movement of goods during the COVID-19 lockdown, an official said Wednesday.

Deliveries should be accompanied with an inventory of items, its origin and destination to the Philippine National Police (PNP) at checkpoints, Agriculture Secretary William Dar said Wednesday.

"The movement of cargos remain unimpeded, unhampered at ang dapat lang dalahin nila ang imbentaryo ng items sa cargo at alamin natin ang items at saan nanggaling at saan destino at pipirmahan ng owner ng cargo," Dar said.

(What they need to bring is an inventory of items in the cargo, what are the items, where it came from and the destination with the signature of the cargo owner)

Dar said, the first phase of the cargo guidelines will be disseminated Wednesday. A set of requirements will still apply for live animals to adhere to existing quarantine requirements, he added.

Mass public transport was suspended and home quarantine is encouraged to limit the movement of people and contain the spread of COVID-19.
