Gov't invites investors to PPP forum

MANILA – Government is inviting investors and business groups to join a pre-bid conference and investors' forum for two public-private partnership (PPP) projects this week.

The Department of Justice (DOJ), Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), and PPP Center are inviting business groups to join the forum on Friday, March 20, for the Regional Prison Facilities project.

The P50 billion prison facilities project is the first of its kind in the country and involves the construction and maintenance of a modern prison facility in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija.

The forum will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

Meanwhile, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be holding a pre-bid conference for the P55.51 billion Cavite Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Project also on Friday, March 20 at 2 p.m. It will be conducted at the DPWH Central Office.

The CALAX project will link Cavite and Laguna and connect the Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

As of March 10, about 60 PPP projects are in the pipeline with a total indicative cost of P1,226.57 billion.
