Philippines to host Forbes CEO conference for first time

MANILA – The annual Forbes Global CEO Conference will be held in the Philippines for the first time this year, Forbes Media LLC announced on Tuesday.

This year’s conference, under the theme of “Toward a Winning Vision,” will gather around 50 speakers from around the world to generate insights on topics such as the world economy, investment strategies, energy, technology and innovation, emerging markets, leadership, succession and philanthropy.

The conference will be held in Manila on October 12 to 14, 2015.

"We are delighted to bring the Forbes Global CEO Conference to the Philippines, one of the world’s most promising emerging markets. Manila is a fitting location to host our conference delegates, who are among the world’s most economically powerful business people,” said William Adamopoulos, Forbes Media LLC chief executive for Asia.

The event will be co-sponsored by SM Investments Corporation and BDO Unibank, International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), and San Miguel Corporation.

The Forbes Global CEO Conference was launched in 2001 and aims to gather some of the world’s most successful tycoons, entrepreneurs, CEOs and thought leaders.
