MANILA - SM Prime Holdings said Monday it was eyeing a "win-win solution" with business partners as mall operations temporarily stop in step with a COVID-19 community quarantine in Metro Manila.

Metro Manila malls will be closed during the 30-day quarantine staring March 15 to April 14, with the exemption of supermarkets, banks and pharmacies.

Tenants offering home delivery and takeout, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies and hardware will remain open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., SM Prime said.

An alternate work schemes and digital collaboration for employees are being developed to ensure continued service while measures and preventive tools are procured for protection, it said.

"SM Prime assures the public that it's stakeholders' wellbeing is its utmost priority and the company will continue supporting the government's preventive measures to help contain the spread of COVID-19, while continuously providing necessary services," it said.
