MANILA – Three groups have qualified to bid for the P123 billion Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike project, government's biggest public-private partnership (PPP) project so far.

The three groups are Team Trident of Ayala Corp., SM Prime Holdings Inc., Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc., and Megaworld Corp.; San Miguel Corp.; and Alloy-PAVI Hanshin LLED Consortium composed of Malaysia’s MTD Group, Prime Asset Venture Inc. of the Villar Group, Korean Hanshin Construction Corp. and Korea Rural Corp.

A multinational group, which includes Santa Lucia Land Inc., was disqualified.

The bidding for the PPP project is tentatively scheduled for July 6.

The awarding of the contract is expected to be completed by August 21 while the signing of the concession agreement is set on September 20.

The project includes reclaiming 700 hectares in Taguig and Muntinlupa, which is expected to help stop flooding by Laguna Lake, and a 47-kilometer highway from Taguig to Los Banos.
