MANILA—Philippine Airlines on Saturday said it was cancelling its domestic flights from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) from March 15 to 21, as Metro Manila braces for a community quarantine restricting local travel in and out of the region.
In a statement, PAL said it was "compelled to cancel domestic flights to/from Manila while maintaining international operations" as the quarantine rolled out, with the status of domestic flights from March 21 to April 14 to be determined as the government assesses the region's situation under the community quarantine.
PAL will also operate extra flights and upgrade some seats to "help accommodate any surge in passenger flight needs."
The extra flights include:
- PR 4139 Manila - Tagbilaran
- PR 4140 Tagbilaran - Manila
- PR 4133 Manila - Tacloban
- PR 4134 Tacloban - Manila
- PR 5039 Manila - Iloilo
- PR 5040 Iloilo - Manila
- PR 5035 Manila - Zamboanga

PAL also reiterated that it was maintaining its international flights
