MANILA - Megaworld Corp said Thursday it would manage a new district in Fort Bonifacio in Taguig that will house the new government offices alongside commercial and residential spaces.

The 160-hectare Bonifacio Capital District will be developed with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority. It will cover the southern part of Fort Bonifacio extending towards the South Luzon Expressway and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Megaworld told the stock exchange.

Bonifacio Capital district will house the future buildings of the Senate, Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals, said BCDA president and CEO Vince Dizon.

The Lawton East Station of the ongoing Metro Manila Subway Project is also locatedin the vicinity of the Bonifacio Capital District, Megaworld said.
