MANILA - Cebu Pacific on Friday said a Singapore-bound flight 5J 803 was diverted to Brunei after a technical problem was detected in the aircraft.
Flight 5J 803 was diverted to Bandar Seri Begawan at 1:45 a.m. on Friday, Cebu Pacific said in an advisory.
Another aircraft has been dispatched from Manila to take affected passengers to Singapore, the carrier said.
It is expected to arrive in Brunei by 12:00 p.m. The same flight is set to depart for Singapore at 12:40 p.m., the airline said.
Meanwhile, the Singapore-Manila return flight, 5J 804, will be delayed.
"We apologize for the inconvenience as the safety of our passengers is our utmost priority," Cebu Pacific said.
Meals, refreshments and travel vouchers were provided for all affected passengers, the airline said.
