MANILA - Megaworld Corp. said Friday it would double its office space inventory in Iloilo to meet growing demand.
The company said its office space in its Iloilo township project will expand to 100,000 square meters by 2020, which will cater to around 40,000 workers, mostly in the business process outsourcing sector.
Megaworld currently has 45,000 square meters of office inventory in four office towers and around 15,000 office workers.
“During the last three years, we have experienced a spike in the demand for office spaces in Iloilo Business Park. Thus, we expedited the construction of our first four towers and we have decided to build more to meet the demand,” said Jericho Go, senior vice president at Megaworld.
The company said it would open two new office towers in Iloilo this year.
Megaworld shares were up 0.81 percent to P3.75 on Friday.
