Three oil companies have a not-so-welcome Valentine's gift for consumers with the announcement that they will raise prices of their petroleum products on Saturday, February 14.

Pilipinas Shell, Petron Corp. and Total Petroleum said they will increase prices of their gasoline product by P0.50 per liter, E10 fuel by P0.75/liter and diesel by P0.25 per liter. Shell implemented the price hike past 12 a.m. Saturday while Petron and Total will follow suit at 6 a.m.

The three companies blamed higher product costs for the new price adjustments.
